This was a general engineering project with an ecological wall to retain and extend the existing
Soil analysis was taken to establish the ground conditions to the base of the proposed wall.
With the information for the soil survey, the engineer calculated the foundations required to
weight of the additional soil which was added to extend the existing platform, which included
piles and reinforced concrete foundations.
Once the correct foundations were in place, then the ecological wall was formed spanning 160
meters and its highest point 16 meters.
These works were undertaken over a programme period of six months to include the
construction of the new Chiringuito.
